Likeable and welcoming farmhouse (200 s.m.), recently restored, placed on the top of a hill, in a splendid panoramic position, above valleys and hills of the florentine country.
You can reach the structure going along a street sided by olive trees and vines; the house has a large garden and is immersed in an absolute silence, far from traffic and the city chaos. For guests: equipped garden, barbecue, ping-pong, soccer, table games, swimming pool, parking.
Possibility to hire Tv, mountain-bikes, deck-chair; we cook delicious homemade sweets and biscuits on demand, and breakfast to be served in your apartment too. We organize also courses of painting.
When youll arrive, to welcome you we will offer homemade sweets and biscuits, and also a self-produced oil and other typical products. During the weekly stays we offer also basket of fruits and vegetables from our kitchen garden.
The structure offers apartments of various size, that can put up from 2 to 8 people; each of them has been furnished with care from the owner: there is also heating, rural kitchen with oven, fridge, freezer, but the farmhouse can be booked also a unique villa, with private swimming pool.
Its the ideal place to relax, to spend a peaceful and regenerating holiday following the country rhythm. The swimming pool is surrounded by many olive trees from which you can look at a unique and relaxing panorama on the surrounding landscape. Immersed in the typical green of the Tuscan hills, the farmhouse offers to guests the possibility to have picturesque walks. The structure is settled in a place called Martignana (that has a little market, restaurant, pizzeria, bar, bank); its a perfect place to relax, and at the same time its near important ways of communication. It represent a strategic point to begin your cultural and artistic itinerary in the most ancient and interesting places of Tuscany, thank to its position that allow to reach quickly: Florence, Pisa, Siena, S. Gimignano, Volterra, Certaldo, Vinci ecc
Distances: 6 Km from Empoli, 9 km from Montespertoli, 25 km from Firenze, 50 km from Pisa, 40 km from Siena.

The farmhouse is composed by 4 apartments of different size that can put up from 4 to 8 person, but can be booked as a unique villa (20 bed places). The four apartments, each with its own entrance, are named: TOSCANO, LA MASSERIA, MULINO A VENTO, LA MEZZANA and are so settled:
At the upper level:
- LA MASSERIA (100 s.m., for 6/8 people): composed by a large living-room with Tv and double sofa-bed, kitchenette (fridge, freezer, oven) and access to an equipped balcony, kitchen/dinner room, 2 double beds, 1 twin room, 1 bathroom with shower, 1 bathroom with tub.
- TOSCANO: 2/4 person. Kitchen (oven, fridge, freezer) with living-room and double sofa-bed, bathroom with tub, 1 double room. Access to an equipped balcony.
At the lower level:
- MULINO A VENTO: 4/7 people. Kitchen/dinner room (oven, fridge, freezer) double sofa-bed, 2 double rooms (+ 1 single bed), bathroom with tub. Access to an equipped balcony.
- LA MEZZANA: 4/6 people. Kitchen/dinner room (oven, fridge, freezer) double sofa-bed, 1 double room, 1 twin room, bathroom with tub. Access to an equipped balcony.

Territory
Empoli
Empoli was born after the drainage of a plain crossed by Arno river. It was built by Romans: its main resource was the river, that acted as a communication way that allowed inhabitants to sell their agricultural products and their pottery. However, the city begin to develop in VIIIth century, and it grows around the castle. It took the name of Emporium or Empolis (it was In Portu before).
In 1182, Empoli becames part of Florentine territory. The city was the seat of a famous council too, the one in which Farinata degli Uberti contrasted the annihilation of Florence. Later, the castle of Empoli become an important fortress, but unfortunately it was frequently sacked. Empoli entered the Italian Kingdom with Florence.
